I believe that within every person lies the potential to grow, heal, and live more fully even when life feels confusing or painful.
Becoming a counsellor felt like a natural path for me, shaped by a deep interest in people and the ways we find meaning and strength through life’s challenges.
In my work, I aim to create a calm, genuine relationship built on empathy, honesty, and respect. I offer a space where you can simply be yourself — perhaps for the first time in a while and explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged or misunderstood.
My Counselling Style
I practise from a humanistic perspective, which means I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to help you reconnect with your inner resources the parts of you that already know what you need.
Together we’ll explore what’s happening for you right now, with compassion and curiosity, allowing understanding and growth to emerge naturally.
Our sessions might include reflection, dialogue, and exploring how you experience yourself and your relationships. Change in humanistic work often comes from greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, rather than from techniques or instruction.
My Values
At the heart of my work are:
- Empathy — meeting you with warmth and understanding
- Authenticity — being real and present in our work together
- Respect — honouring your individuality and freedom to choose
- Growth — trusting your natural capacity to move toward fulfilment
I believe therapy is less about “fixing” and more about becoming uncovering the parts of yourself that long to be seen, heard, and valued.
Sessions are available in person or online, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.
My Experience with Addiction Work
Much of my counselling experience has been within the field of addiction and recovery supporting both those trying to change their relationship with substances or behaviours, and those living with the impact of someone else’s use.
I’ve learned that addiction rarely exists on its own; it often grows out of pain, disconnection, trauma, or unmet emotional needs. My work focuses on helping people understand the why beneath the behaviour not just how to stop, but how to heal, rebuild trust, and reconnect with themselves and others.
I also work closely with partners, parents, and family members affected by a loved one’s addiction. Their journey often involves its own mix of confusion, grief, guilt, and hope. Therapy can help you find steadiness again, develop healthy boundaries, and begin to care for yourself amid the chaos addiction can create.
What matters most to me in this work is seeing and meeting the person behind the pain without judgement, labels, or pressure. I believe that when we are truly heard and accepted, real change becomes possible.
For me, addiction work isn’t only about recovery it’s about rediscovering what it means to live fully, freely, and connected to who you are.
My Practice
I offer counselling for adults both in person and online, working with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, low mood, loss, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions.
Whatever brings you here, my aim is to provide a safe, understanding space where you can begin to explore your experience and move towards a more peaceful, balanced way of being.
You don’t have to go through things alone, help is here when you’re ready.
